Anthony Aberin said.</p><p>The crowd estimate at INC&#x27;s rally on Sunday peaked to more than 600,000, according to police. The religious sect is a church that has historically been a powerful voting bloc with ties to the Duterte political dynasty.</p><p>Aberin said the Iglesia rally had been &quot;generally peaceful&quot; since Sunday. </p><p>&quot;Wala pong na-report na insidente na puwedeng makaapekto sa peaceful conduct ng rally ng mga kapatid natin sa Iglesia ni Cristo,” he said.</p><p>“It can be attributed sa disiplinadong grupo… may sarili silang marshal at security rin. Ang mga pulis natin ay in-adjust natin ang deployment, inilagay sa malalayong perimeter. Ang security marshal ng Iglesia ni Cristo ang nagsu-supervise ng seguridad ng mga kapatid natin dito,” he added.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>BODY CAMERAS</strong></div><p>In a statement, acting Philippine National Police chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said police officers securing the protest would be equipped with body-worn cameras to ensure transparency and accountability.</p><p>&quot;The use of body-worn cameras ensures that every interaction is documented. Ito ay para maiwasan ang abuso at para masiguro na ang bawat galaw namin ay may pananagutan,&quot; Nartatez said.</p><p>He said the recordings would serve as crucial evidence should allegations of misconduct or operational lapses arise.</p><p>&quot;Kapag may reklamo, agad naming rerepasuhin ang footage. Ang body-cam ang magsisilbing malinaw na ebidensya kung maayos at patas ang aming naging operasyon,&quot; he added.</p><p>The police has been enforcing maximum tolerance, National Capital Region Police Office spokesperson Maj. Hazel Asilo said, adding that officials assigned to crowd control duties were deployed without firearms.</p><p>“Ang mga pulis na may baril po ay naka-assign sa anti-criminality duties at perimeter security,” she said.</p><p>“Mayroon din po tayong mga dedicated medical team, traffic management unit at quick response forces na naka-standby para sa anumang pangangailangan.”</p><p>Despite this assessment, the police force in areas where rallies are being held remain under a high alert status, the NCRPO spokesperson said.</p><p>“Sa ground operations po, nananatiling pareho ang protocols ngunit mas pinaigting ang monitoring, intelligence sharing at standby units para sa anumang biglang pangangailangan,” she said.</p><p>“Wala po itong ibig sabihin na may banta; ito po ay precautionary measures lamang.”</p><p>INC, which claims about three million members, helped Marcos and running mate Sara Duterte win the 2022 elections. In 2016, they endorsed Rodrigo Duterte ahead of his win.</p><p>In January this year, INC held a huge rally in Manila opposing the mooted impeachment of Vice President Duterte, who has had a spectacular falling out with one-time ally Marcos since their election victory.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/11/14/-nov-14-timeline-of-flood-control-scandal-according-to-marcos-0938">Timeline of flood control scandal, according to Marcos</a></div><div><br/></div><div><strong>PEOPLE POWER MONUMENT RALLY</strong> </div><p>Meanwhile, the United People’s Initiative (UPI), a group composed of retired military officers, personnel, and members from various sectors, continued its assembly at the People Power Monument in Quezon City on Monday to protest alleged government corruption and to push for transparency. </p><p>The group secured a permit from the local government allowing their assembly from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. </p><p>UPI also held a protest on Sunday, which drew an estimated peak crowd of 4,000 at around 7 p.m.</p><p>Quezon City Police District Director Col. Randy Silvio said around 1,500 police personnel have been deployed to secure the area, with augmentation from the Quezon City local government, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.</p><p>Emergency and medical response teams were on standby while portable toilets and food stalls were provided for participants.</p><p>As of 11 a.m. on Monday, Silvio said the crowd estimate was at 1,000, but organizers expect at least 30,000 attendees.</p><p>Half of White Plains Avenue was closed to motorists to give way to the event.
