MANILA - Former Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo has asked a Pasig court to allow her to remain at the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory, seeking to halt her transfer to the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong following her conviction for qualified human trafficking.The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) confirmed that Guo, through her lawyer, filed a motion before the Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 167. The court has scheduled a hearing on her request for Wednesday, November 26. <div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/11/21/alice-guo-to-spend-life-sentence-in-philippine-jail-gatchalian-0957">Alice Guo to spend life sentence in Philippine jail - Gatchalian</a></div>“This means maantala muna ang paglipat sa kanya sa Correctional Institution for Women sa Mandaluyong,” PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio told reporters in a Viber message.The Pasig court convicted Guo last Thursday, sentencing her to life imprisonment for her role in a human trafficking scheme. The ruling ordered her immediate transfer to CIW, while her co-accused were directed to be committed to the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.Also sentenced to life imprisonment were her co-accused: Rachelle Malonzo Carreon, Jaimielyn Cruz, Walter Wong Rong, Wang Weili, Wuli Dong, Nong Ding Chang, and Lang Xu Po. Each was ordered to pay ₱2 million per case, in addition to financial restitution to the victims.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/11/20/pasig-court-finds-alice-guo-others-guilty-of-human-trafficking-over-tarlac-pogo-0938">Alice Guo found guilty of qualified human trafficking over Tarlac POGO </a> </div>The court likewise ordered the forfeiture of the ₱6-billion Baofu compound in favor of the government and the permanent revocation of the registrations of Baofu Land Development Inc., Hongsheng Gaming Technology Inc., and Zun Yuan Technology Inc. Meanwhile, the court acquitted accused Thelma Barrogo Laranan, Rowena Gonzales Evangelista, Rit Sapnu Yturralde, Merlie Joy Manalo Castro, and Maybeline Requiro Millo, citing insufficient evidence to establish their guilt beyond reasonable doubt.
