<p>MANILA — Mark Arjay Reyes, a 31-year-old IT engineer, and Sherra De Juan, a 30-year-old bookkeeper, had been in a relationship for nearly a decade.</p><p>In 2020, the couple decided to live together. Their relationship was filled with love, with Mark describing Sherra as the person who brought positive change into his life.</p><p>In 2023, they decided to formalize their relationship and planned to get married on December 14, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in North Fairview, Quezon City.</p><p>However, the excitement surrounding their dream wedding turned into fear and uncertainty after Sherra mysteriously went missing on Wednesday afternoon, December 10.</p><p>Mark said he could not understand why his future wife suddenly disappeared after merely informing him that she was going out to buy shoes in a nearby mall.</p><div><br/></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?height=314&amp;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Freel%2F1492705475663797%2F&amp;show_text=false&amp;width=560&amp;t=0" width="560" height="314" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><p>While Mark is deeply hurt by his fiancée’s disappearance, he said his pain has been compounded by social media comments suggesting that Sherra may have run away to avoid marrying him.</p><p>According to Mark, this is impossible, as their relationship was strong and stable.</p><p>“Desidido po siya. 2023 pa po kami na-engage kaya noong pinagpaplanuhan namin wala naman ako nakitang alinlangan,“ Mark said.</p><p>“Ako po personally as her boyfriend po, hindi nya po kayang gawin yun. Wala po siyang nakakausap na ibang lalaki. Actually hindi siya nage-entertain ng mga ganyan,“ he added.</p><p>Mark also said that they had not experienced any serious problems in their relationship.</p><p>“Sa tagal namin nagsasama malalaman ko agad, konting simangot nga lang nyan mapapansin ko na agad,” he said.</p><p>Sherra’s mother, Tita De Juan, also confirmed that the couple’s relationship was harmonious.</p><p>“Wala ako napansin kay Sherra na kung anuman. Sa pagsasama nila ni Mark ay wala po ako problema kasi napakabait na bata si Mark,” De Juan said.</p><p>Mark is now devoting all his time and effort to searching for his missing fiancée, praying that she is safe and in good condition.</p><p>“Ikaw yung babaeng hindi ko sinusukuan at hanggang ngayon hindi kita susukuan. Hahanapin ka namin, balik ka na. Kung kaya mo mag-text, mag-chat, tatanggapin ka namin nang buong-buo. Ang mahalaga makabalik ka mayakap ka namin,” Mark said.</p><p>De Juan also expressed deep concern for her daughter and appealed to the public for help.</p><p>“Kung nanonood ka man anak, andito si mama naghihintay sa iyo. Kung sinuman ang nakakakita kay Sherra, ibalik nyo sa akin ng maayos po  kasi andito kami naghihintay kami ng mga kapatid nya, lalong lalo na si Mark,” she said.</p><p>Mark also appealed to the public to be sensitive in their comments, stressing the difficulty of the situation they are going through.</p><p>“Tigilan nyo na po, tigilan nyo na po kasi kami po ang mas nakakakilala kay Sherra. Hindi nyo alam ang pinagdadaanan namin. Huwag nyo po kami gawing katatawanan.
