Supreme Court/X </span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Malacañang on Tuesday announced that Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs Anna Liza Logan had been appointed as the new Presidential Chief Legal Counsel, replacing the late <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/11/13/enrile-s-life-and-legacy-in-his-own-words-1755">Juan Ponce Enrile.</a></p><p>Before working in the Office of the President, Logan was a civil and criminal litigation lawyer, and had also handled family, labor and human settlements adjudication commission cases.</p><p>She is a partner at the Logan Masukat Ronulo Huang, and was also employed as a Junior Partner at the Marcos Ochoa Serapio and Tan (MOST), the law firm of First Lady Liza Marcos.</p><p>Earlier this year, Logan applied to become the next Ombudsman after the retirement of Samuel Martires, but she did not get the post.</p><p>Other officials who were appointed to the Office of the Executive Secretary included the following. </p><ul><li>Senior Deputy Executive Secretary Maria Luwalhati Dorotan Tiuseco</li><li>Deputy Executive Secretary for General Administration Danielle Marie Rieza-Culangen</li><li>Deputy executive Secretary for Financial Affairs Joseph Irvin Obenza</li><li>Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs Jesse Hermogenes Andres</li><li>Undersecretary for Economic Affairs Erwin Sta.
