PNP probes all angles, including foul play, in disappearance of bride-to-be in QC

Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said they were extending all necessary assistance to locate bride-to-be Sherra De Juan, who was reported missing four days before her planned wedding on December 14.</p><p>Nartatez said investigators were leaving no stone unturned as they work to determine what happened to De Juan.</p><p>“We are exploring all possible angles including whether there was foul play or other circumstances surrounding her disappearance,” he said.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>LAST KNOWN MOVEMENTS </strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Based on initial investigation, De Juan last communicated with her fiancé, Mark Arjay Reyes, on December 10, telling him she was headed to a mall to buy her wedding shoes.</p><p>She never returned home.</p><p>Police said De Juan left her mobile phone at their residence while it was charging.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/15/police-form-special-team-to-investigate-missing-bride-in-quezon-city-1242?fbclid=IwY2xjawOt0FZicmlkETFzWURsREdZSGllSmJWTTJxc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHhxJWRGQ1M2q0-eVFwdoARhj5vR0GKfegXbnrWitYBqfP32tE7lMX6FHl_7n&amp;brid=sy5tepa_LRszrW1lQ_YizA">Police form special team to investigate missing bride in Quezon City</a><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/15/police-form-special-team-to-investigate-missing-bride-in-quezon-city-1242?fbclid=IwY2xjawOt0FZicmlkETFzWURsREdZSGllSmJWTTJxc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHhxJWRGQ1M2q0-eVFwdoARhj5vR0GKfegXbnrWitYBqfP32tE7lMX6FHl_7n&amp;brid=sy5tepa_LRszrW1lQ_YizA"></a></div><p>The device is now in police custody and undergoing forensic examination as part of efforts to reconstruct her last known activities and contacts.</p><p>Investigators are also reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from possible routes and locations, analyzing available cellphone data, and validating witness statements to establish a clearer timeline of events.</p><div><strong> </strong></div><div><strong>SPECIAL INVESTIGATION TEAM FORMED </strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Nartatez said a Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) had been activated to handle the case and validate all information gathered since the incident was reported.</p><p>Coordination with other police units and partner agencies was ongoing to speed up the investigation.</p><p>“I have already tasked the Quezon City Police District to exhaust all measures to address this case. All our units in Metro Manila and nearby areas were also alerted and directed to assist,” he said.</p><p>“We assure the public that we will exert all the efforts to find her and determine the circumstances surrounding her disappearance,” he added.</p><p>The PNP appealed to the public for any information that could help authorities locate De Juan, noting that even seemingly minor details could prove crucial.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/14/bride-to-be-in-quezon-city-goes-missing-four-days-before-wedding-1952">Bride-to-be in Quezon City goes missing four days before wedding</a></div><p>“We appeal to the public, kung meron po kayong kahit maliit na impormasyon, please come forward and coordinate with the nearest police station or directly with the Quezon City Police District. Mahalaga po ang tulong ng mamamayan,” he said.</p><p>“Gagawin ng PNP ang lahat para mahanap siya at mabigyan ng linaw ang pangyayaring ito.”</p><p>De Juan’s fiancé offered a P20,000 reward for any information that could lead to her whereabouts. </p>
