Fritz Sapon said the fraternity is one with the nation in the fight against corruption. </p><p>“Napakalaki ng significance ng Oblation Run ngayong araw. Ito po ang oras para tayo ay tumindig. Nakita po natin ang epekto ng pag-ulan, madalas ang konting pag-ulan ay nagkakaroon agad ng baha. Oras na po para tayo ay magising. Ito po ay panawagan hindi lang nang (APO) fraternity kundi ng buong Pilipinas,” he said.</p><p>Renaline Prieto, a student from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Manila, witnessed the Oblation Run for the first time because her boyfriend, who is also a member of Alpha Phi Omega, was a participant. </p><p>“Na-curious po ako kung ano po ang APO. Biglaan lang yung pagnood ko and na-enjoy ko siya. May point sila (APO) na ang mga kurap ay wala dapat dito sa mundo,&quot; she said.</p><p>The Oblation Run is an annual tradition traditionally held in December, using protest art and performance to call attention to social, political, and economic concerns facing the nation.</p><p>The first Oblation Run was held as a protest on September 19, 1977, with this year&#x27;s run date marking APO&#x27;s 100th founding day. </p><div>Despite the celebratory milestone, organizers stressed that the focus of the activity remained on pressing national issues rather than the anniversary itself.<br/><br/><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CEP4D-rVWuo?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
