Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon on Wednesday revealed that he knew of Rogelio Singon’s plan to resign from the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) weeks prior.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/3/ici-announces-resignation-of-rogelio-singson-1507">Rogelio Singson resigns as ICI member, cites stress, age</a></div><p>ICI chairperson Retired Justice Andres Reyes Jr. confirmed reports of Singson’s resignation in a press conference Wednesday, citing the “very intense and stressful ICI work taking its toll on his aging body.”</p><p>But Dizon said Singson told him that he still wants to lend his expertise to the government, particularly the DPWH, as the agency implements the flood control master plan that he started during his stint as Public Works chief.</p><p>“Gusto na niyang i-devote yung kanyang expertise sa pagtutulong sa DPWH sa pag-implement ng mga project nang tama… Lalo na ngayon na naibigay na niya yung kanyang expertise sa ICI.
