Mananagot ang mga sangkot at matitiyak ng bayan na may hustisyang haharap sa mga gumawa ng korupsyon at katiwalian,” the DILG said in a statement.</p><p>Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) also acknowledged the recent disclosure from the Office of the President regarding the alleged ghost project.</p><p>In a separate statement, acting PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the police organization is treating the allegations with utmost seriousness.</p><p>“We remain fully committed to ensuring that justice is pursued, public funds are safeguarded, and all accountable individuals are brought before the law,” Nartatez said.</p><p>He added that the PNP stands ready to serve the warrants of arrest once the court issues them, following the Ombudsman’s filing of criminal information against the individuals implicated.</p><p>The PNP also expressed full support for ongoing investigations led by concerned government agencies.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/9/3/9-discaya-firms-lose-licenses-for-bidding-against-each-other-on-projects-1249">9 Discaya firms lose licenses for bidding against each other on projects</a></div><p>Nartatez said the organization is prepared to assist in evidence-gathering and other processes needed to establish the truth and maintain public trust in the justice system.</p><p>The police likewise encouraged citizens, especially those with direct knowledge of the case, to cooperate with authorities.</p><p>“The PNP remains steadfast in its commitment to the rule of law, professional service, and the fight against corruption. We will continue to serve and protect the Filipino people with fairness, integrity, and dedication.”</p>
