Rowena Guanzon said she has filed complaints of unjust vexation and grave oral defamation following a confrontation with a fellow mall-goer at a mall in Makati City on Saturday.In a <a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.facebook.com/reel/891332793854218">short video message</a>, Guanzon assured the public that she is “okay” after experiencing high blood pressure the previous night, which she said has since stabilized.She explained that she could not let the incident pass, especially after feeling publicly humiliated.“’Di naman pwedeng palampasin ‘yon… ‘pag inaalipusta ka na. Dini-defend ko nga yung ibang tao ‘pag ginaganun sila, sarili ko pa kaya,” Guanzon explained. According to her, the confrontation began when a random individual told her, “You’re coughing, you should leave the mall. You should stay at home,” explaining that she was embarrassed by the remarks. “Napahiya talaga ako dun sa ginawa nung taong ‘yon. Sabihan ka ba naman, &#x27;Don’t you have money to buy a mask?&#x27;... Grabe naman. Bawal pala sa kanya kahit umubo ka lang minsan,” Guanzon said.She also noted that she is familiar with many residents and regulars in the area. “Obviously, hindi siya taga dun. Later we found out na hindi talaga sila taga doon,” she added.Guanzon said she immediately proceeded to the police station despite feeling unwell and filed the complaints late in the evening.She also warned that taking and posting videos of her inside the mall violates privacy rules, emphasizing that such acts are prohibited and constitute a “criminal offense.”“You have violated my right to privacy and that is a criminal offense,” she emphasized.She added that she will release a full account of the incident on her YouTube channel, saying some critics “are taking advantage of this to malign” her.A video of her verbal confrontation with the mall-goer and his companion went viral, generating various reactions from netizens.ABS-CBN News is reaching out to the couple to get their side of the story.
