MANILA — Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Director Major General Nicholas Torre said they are ready to arrest the suspects in the “missing sabungeros” case if the court asks for it.

The Court of Appeals has cancelled the bail of six individuals facing trial for kidnapping and serious illegal detention before the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 40.

Presiding Judge Rebecca Guillen-Ubaña however stood her ground and denied the motion for cancellation of the bond and the issuance of warrant of arrest.

“Alam naman namin kung nasaan sila, although I'm sure na magtatago ang mga yan, although we are also hoping na sumurender sila at harapin sa korte ang kanilang mga kaso,” Torre said.

Torre said their investigation continues as to the other “missing sabungeros” whose cases have not yet ended.

“Nangangalap tayo ng ebidensya, nangangalap tayo ng witness, hanggang sa mabuo natin yan, but rest assured, hindi naman tinitigilan ng PNP yan,” Torre said.
