The Netherlands’ immigration authorities granted two-day visas to Duterte’s escorts, including his nurse and aide, to allow them to rest and recover before their return flight. </p><p>Meanwhile, former Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, who is serving as Duterte’s legal counsel, was issued a 15-day visa. Officials called the attention of the ICC and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs to emphasize the need for close monitoring of the former President’s medical and physical condition. Upon arrival, an ICC nurse, part of the reception team, consulted with Duterte’s personal nurse to discuss his health requirements. </p><p>The gathered medical information was then relayed to the ICC’s medical doctor for a comprehensive assessment upon his admission to the detention center. The Embassy also ensured that proper medical protocols would be followed throughout his stay, emphasizing the need for prompt medical intervention should any health concerns arise.</p><p>As part of its ongoing consular responsibilities, the Philippine Embassy arranged for ICC officials to provide Duterte with the direct contact details of Embassy representatives. He has been assured that assistance will be readily available if needed.</p>
