MANILA — Alyansa Para Sa Bagong Pilipinas Campaign Manager Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco has claimed victory for the administration slate even if it failed to win a big majority of the 12 Senate slots in the election.&quot;In this regard, we consider the victory of most of our candidates a vote of confidence in the Bagong Pilipinas vision of progress where all Filipinos can live better lives with real economic opportunities for all. Their vote affirms our shared commitment to continue the country’s economic gains and preserve the momentum of growth,&quot; Tiangco said in a statement. &quot;We view this as a clear signal to move forward with greater urgency and focus, guided by the aspirations of our people and committed to addressing the issues that concern them the most,&quot; he added.Tiangco said the objective of the Alyansa campaign was to rally support for the election of senators who could bring their competence and experience to the Senate and help the administration in its efforts to uplift the welfare of Filipinos.<div> <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/5/9/alyansa-bets-grateful-for-marcos-jr-endorsement-support-at-sorties-1645">Alyansa bets grateful for Marcos Jr. endorsement, support at sorties</a></div>Latest unofficial tallies however showed that of the 11-man Alyansa Slate, only 5 -- Erwin Tulfo, Panfilo Lacson, Vicente Sotto III, Pia Cayetano and Lito Lapid -- are making the cut.Marcos Jr.&#x27;s sister reelectionist senator Imee Marcos left the Alyansa slate while Camille Villar skipped many Alyansa sorties despite not officially separating from the alliance.Both were endorsed by Vice President Sara Duterte who, along with her father, detained former President Rodrigo Duterte, also endorsed Bong Go, Ronald dela Rosa and Rodante Marcoleta. They take the other 5 slots in the top 12.The remaining two slots go to candidates affiliated with neither the Marcoses nor the Dutertes — Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan who are allied with former Vice President Leni Robredo.The election was held amid the epic feud between the Marcoses and the Dutertes following the break up of the Uniteam of the President and Vice President from the 2022 elections.
