Senator-elect Vicente Sotto III took pride in his 5th term as a senator after he was proclaimed as a winner in the midterm elections by the Commission on Elections, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers.

"In the Philippine Senate, from 1916 to the present, I am privileged to be the first and presently the only senator who had been elected five times. In these terms, I have made legislations and principally authored 259 laws will make sure that the budget of the government is used correctly." Sotto said in brief remarks after his proclamation.

Other senators-elect with multiple terms the poll body also proclaimed on Saturday afternoon are Panfilo Lacson and Lito Lapid.

"At ito po, Chairman, Commissioners, will be my fourth term as an elected senator of the republic. Mabuhay po ang Pilipinas, mabuhay ang Comelec, at mabuhay po tayong lahat," Lacson said.

"Asahan niyo po pang apat na term ko na po ito bilang senador at gagawin ko po ang lahat ng aking magagawa at sisipagan pa natin, maghanap po tayo ng mga batas na para sa ating mga mamamayang Pilipinong mahihirap. Mabuhay po ang Pilipinas, mabuhay po ang lahat po ng mga Pilipino. Sa inyo po lahat, maraming maraming salamat po," Lapid said.
