Bersamin on May 21.</p><p>The date of the celebration was chosen based on the recommendation of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos following the Hijrah Islamic Lunar Calendar. </p><p>Eid&#x27;l Adha is one of the two major Muslin holidays. It commemorates Ibrahim&#x27;s willingness to sacrifice his son as ordered by Allah.</p><p>To remember and celebrate, Muslim families will sacrifice an animal which will be divided into three parts: one for the family, one shared with relatives, and one for the needy and less fortunate.</p><div><br/></div><div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1747901588667Screenshot 2025-05-22 161253.png" class="fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:633px"/></div>
