MANILA – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Friday said the eGov application will help speed up the application program for those seeking to avail its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis (AICS) and Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).

"Sa eGov app, makikita doon kung ano yung documentary requirements. So kumbaga, kapag pumunta na sa opisina o doon sa action center, yung mga kababayan natin o magiging kliyente, ready na yung kanilang documents. Para mas mabilis narin yung pamimigay serbisyo sa kanila," DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program Director Miramel Laxa said in an interview on state-run People's Television Network.

"Sa part ng DSWD, i-streamline na natin yung proseso, yung mga dokumento, mas mabilis na. But with the assistance of the eGov app, mas alam na ng mga tao anong dadalhin once pumunta sila sa action center," she added.

The DSWD official said individuals will also be notified through the eGov app.

"Sa eGov app, binigyan kami ng access ng DICT sa app para doon narin mag-update sa ating kliyente kung ano estado ng assistance na kanilang hinihingi sa pamamagitan ng Sustainable Livelihood Program," Laxa said.

"Sa eGov app, i-nonotify ka narin kung sakaling meron kang na-miss na document ka para ma-submit mo," she added.

DSWD Crisis Intervention Division Officer-in-Charge Edwin Morata said they are committed to expediting the process of application for AICS which covers medical, transportation, burial and food assistance.

"We are committed the moment we receive yung application nila through the eGov app, we are giving ourselves a maximum of one to two days to assess. On the third day yun na yung supposedly pagpunta nila sa government center which is doon nila matatanggap assistance nila," he said.

"Doon palang we can assess na at ano yung kailangan nila. Initially, yung ating social worker particularly for Assistance to Individual Crisis Situation kung ano kailangan nila," Laxa added.

Laxa said the two assistance programs are the only ones available on the app in the pilot run. But they will add more after assessing the results of the initial implementation.

Meantime, the Philippine Statistics Authority and the Philippine National Police are also working on integrating more services on the eGov app.

PCapt. Maureen Castro of the PNP said they will soon integrate the National Police Clearance on the eGov app.

So far, the PNP official website, Firearms and Explosive Office official website are among those included in the app.

PSA National Capital Region Director Paciano Dizon said individuals can get their digital National ID, National ID registration and request for issuance of documents on the eGov app.
