Senate Public Relations and Information Bureau </span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla said the Department of Justice has initiated the cancellation of the passport of former Duterte spokesperson Atty. Harry Roque before the Angeles City Regional Trial Court.</p><p>Roque is facing qualified human trafficking and regular human trafficking cases before the Angeles City RTC in connection with the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators or POGOs in Porac, Pampanga.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/4/28/roque-faces-qualified-trafficking-cases-before-angeles-city-court-1907">Roque faces qualified trafficking cases before Angeles City court</a></div><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/5/15/court-orders-harry-roque-s-arrest-1608">Court orders Harry Roque’s arrest</a></div><p>Remulla noted that once the court granted the cancellation of Roque’s passport, he will become an undocumented alien and be subjected to deportation proceedings.</p><p>Roque is currently seeking asylum in the Netherlands for his supposed persecution in the Philippines.</p><p>“Undocumented alien na siya, depende iyan sa grant of asylum na ibibigay sa kanya ng Netherlands pero I doubt it kasi ang Netherlands is one of the countries that goes against human trafficking,” Remulla said.</p><p>Remulla also noted reports he received that Roque has three passports.</p><p>He however stressed that Roque should face his POGO-related cases in the Philippines.</p><p>“Ang mahalaga talagang mapilitan siyang mag-account sa kanyang ginawa dito at depensahan niya ang sarili niya, eh hindi pa nga nagsisimula ang lahat eh tinatakasan niya, eh sa batas natin flight is an indication of guilt kaya sana harapin niya na lang,” Remulla said.</p><p>Remulla also confirmed that Hold Departure Orders were also filed before the court for the other accused individuals.</p><p>Included in the trafficking cases is Lucky South 99 representative Cassandra Li Ong.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/11/5/pnp-submits-more-evidence-vs-cassandra-ong-on-porac-pogo-case-1316">PNP submits more evidence vs Cassandra Ong on Porac POGO case</a></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/5ksTTca2aYw?si=RECPjWvKXap8ihfs" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div>
