That was really an affront to Philippine sovereignty,” she said.</p><p>Duterte also noted that she has not received any request from the president for a meeting in an effort to reconcile.</p><div><strong>‘GOOD FOR HIM’</strong></div><p>When asked about Marcos Jr. maintaining that he will not intervene with her impeachment trial, Duterte expressed doubt as she alleged the president is not true to his word.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/6/21/marcos-jr-on-sara-duterte-s-impeachment-it-s-between-house-senate-1259">Marcos Jr. on Sara Duterte’s impeachment: It’s between House, Senate</a></div><p>“He gives conflicting statements, truly. The very first day of this administration. In fact, he has not followed through with any of his campaign promises,” she claimed. </p><p>“And that is an example of the conflict with regard to our president. Well, budol in English is &#x27;scam&#x27; no? Well, we are not surprised. He has the hallmark of a scammer,” Duterte added.</p><p>Marcos Jr., in his latest podcast episode, said he is focusing on addressing problems with transport and rice and not on Duterte’s impeachment, emphasizing that it is a process between both chambers of Congress.</p><p>“Well, good for him. And we hope to see some sort of truth to his statements that he is focusing on helping our fellow Filipinos and doing something for the country. Unfortunately, if you talk to the ordinary citizens and the Filipino community, we don’t see anything at all,” the vice president stated.</p>
