<div>[[PHOTO ALBUM]]</div><div><br/></div><p>Not even the heavy rains could dampen the spirit of celebration at the Lov3Laban sa Diliman Pride event in UP Diliman on Saturday.</p><p> Despite umbrellas overhead and puddles on the ground, attendees braved the weather to enjoy live performances during Pride Night, capping off a day-long celebration of love and equality.</p><p> This year marks the third edition of Lov3Laban and the 30th Pride March in Metro Manila.</p><p> The event was a collaboration between Pride PH, the Quezon City government, and the University of the Philippines Diliman. </p><p>&quot;Based from last year, napatunayan namin na di sapat &#x27;yung laki ng QC Circle para i-handle &#x27;yung ganito kalaki nating bilang at lakas kaya naisip natin na maganda &#x27;yung UP Diliman, bilang bastion ng activisim. At dito, welcome na welcome lalo na &#x27;yung panawagan ng Lov3Laban,&quot;said Pride PH National Convenor Rodina Singh. </p><p>Beyond LGBTQIA+ rights and the long-pending SOGIE Equality Bill, this year’s event also saw calls for broader reform such as the legalization of divorce and marriage equality in the Philippines. </p><p>UP Chancellor Dr. Edgardo Carlo Vistan II expressed pride in the university’s role in the movement.</p><p> &quot;This reflects our commitment in creating mechanism for advancing knowlegde in this field and advocating for and protesting the rights of our communuty and others regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression,&quot; he said in a video message. </p><p>The Pride March kicked off in the afternoon from the UP Oblation, with Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte leading the procession around the campus.</p><p> Many joined, waving rainbow flags and holding placards calling for inclusivity, love, and equal rights. Vibrant floats and creative costumes added energy and flair to the march.</p><p> There were also food stalls, arts and merchandise, health services, and advocacy hubs. </p><p>More than just a celebration, the event served as a platform to continue pushing for long-overdue legislative change. </p><p>“We want people to understand the LGBT community, siyempre it&#x27;s a struggle for us to be accepted by society, para mapasa &#x27;yung SOGIE bill natin,&quot; said attendee Leo Eubanas.</p><p> &quot;UP is known po for being open po sila about their advocacy UP is the best university po na gawin ang pride month,&quot;  added another attendee Genesis Llaneras.</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vxo859_5D30??si=BfwrkJrODNACACf9&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
