Yung iba ay guni-guni lang. Huwag na po tayong magkuyari, alam naman ng buong madla na nagkakaraket sa mga proyekto: mga kickback, mga initiative… SOP, for the boys,&quot; Marcos said in his fourth State of the Nation Address. </p><p>&quot;Kaya sa mga nakikipagsabwatan para kuhanin ang pondo ng bayan at nakawin ang kinabukasan ng ating mga mamamayan: Mahiya naman kayo sa inyong kapwa Pilipino. Mahiya naman kayo sa mga kababayan nating naanod o nalubog sa baha. Mahiya naman kayo lalo sa mga anak nating magmamana sa mga utang na ginawa n&#x27;yo,&quot; he added.</p><p>Marcos directed the public works department to submit a list of flood control projects that were &quot;started or completed in the last three years&quot;. </p><p>The regional project monitoring committee will then scour the list for possible &quot;failures, those that were not finished, and those that are alleged to be ghost projects&quot;, the President said.  </p><p>He said the list would be disclosed to the public for their feedback.</p><p>&quot;At the same time, there will be an audit and performance review regarding these projects to check and make sure and to know how your money was spent. Sa mga susunod na buwan, makakasuhan ang mga lalabas na may sala sa imbestigasyon pati na ang mga kasabwat na kotratista sa buong bansa,&quot; Marcos said.</p><p>&quot;Kailangan malaman ng taong bayan ang buong katotohanan. Before his SONA, Marcos had said that climate change meant Filipinos needed to be thinking about how to adapt to a &quot;new normal&quot;.</p><p>&quot;This is not an extraordinary situation anymore... This will be our lives no matter what we do,&quot; he told a televised cabinet briefing, adding the country should plan for the long-term in addressing natural disasters.</p><p>&quot;This is the way it&#x27;s going to be as far as we know for... many decades to come, so let&#x27;s just prepare,&quot; he said.</p><p>Aside from climate change, an &quot;<a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/7/27/climate-change-antiquated-drainage-system-itinuturong-dahilan-sa-malawakang-pagbaha-sa-ncr-2253">antiquated drainage system</a>&quot; was also a factor in the widespread flooding in Metro Manila, according to San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora, also the president of the Metro Manila Council.</p><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
