Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News/File</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday said it is gearing up for the 10-day voter’s registration period nationwide that would kick off Friday, August 1—announcing that they would launch this in Mabalacat, Pampanga.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/7/9/comelec-to-hold-voter-s-registration-for-bske-on-aug-1-10-1809">Comelec to hold voter’s registration for BSKE on Aug 1-10</a></div><p>Comelec chairman George Garcia said regular registration time would be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but the planned “registration anytime” program—which would happen at night in select bus and airport terminals—would be from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. </p><p>“Ang plano talaga namin is alas-siyete ng gabi hanggang alas-singko ng umaga. May mga tauhan kami na specifically sa mga piling lugar na yan tatambay. Magtatayo kami ng mga booth at doon makakapagpa-rehistro ang aming mga kababayan,” the poll chief told reporters.</p><p>Garcia said they would release the list of schedule and voter’s registration areas on Wednesday, but he said this includes select malls, terminals, schools, and possibly even hospitals.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/7/18/imee-presses-marcos-jr-to-sign-bske-bill-1209">Imee presses Marcos Jr. to sign BSKE bill</a></div><p>“‘Yan ay para makapag-cater sa mga kababayan natin na hindi na talaga nakakakuha ng panahon para pumunta ng Comelec at pumunta pa sa mall para magparehistro, kaya dinadala natin ang registration sa kanila at mapalapit. Lalong-lalo na ang mga biyahero,” he added.</p><p>Garcia said they plan to do the launching in Mabalacat for members of the indigenous people.</p><p>“Pupuntahan natin ang isang indigenous people community upang doon maparehistro natin ang mga kababayan nating aeta. At yan ay pagsisimula na, araw-araw, maglalatag tayo ng mga programa at registration sa iba’t ibang parte ng bansa,” he said.</p><p>There will be no local transfer of registration records during this period to those who would register outside Metro Manila, he said.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Comelec said they would accept the following type of applications:</strong></div><div> </div><p>• Registration (for first-time voters)</p><p>• Change of Name and Status</p><p>• Correction of Entries</p><p>• Reactivation of Registration Records</p><p>• Inclusion of Registration Records and Reinstatement of Name in the List of Voters</p><p>• Updating of Records of PWD, Senior Citizen, and members of IP and ICC</p><p>• Transfer from Overseas to Local Only</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Online Filing</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>• Reactivation</p><p>• Reactivation with Change/Correction</p><p>• Reactivation with Updating of Records</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Comelec said it would accept the following IDs: </strong></div><div><br/></div><p>• National ID Card </p><p>• Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)</p><p>• Postal ID Card</p><p>• Person with Disability PWD) ID Card</p><p>• Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) License</p><p>• Student&#x27;s ID Card or Library Card </p><p>• Senior Citizen&#x27;s ID Card</p><p>• LTO Driver&#x27;s License/Student Permit</p><p>• NBI Clearance</p><p>• Philippine Passport</p><p>• SSS GSIS o UMID Card</p><p>• National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) for members of ICCs or IPs</p><p>• Other government-issued valid IDs</p><div><br/></div><p>Comelec earlier said they target to have 1 million registrations during the period. </p><div><strong><br/></strong></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6yLlaL8ajtk?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
