Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><p>NEW DELHI, India — President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. will not release an unverified list of individuals supposedly behind the substandard flood control projects in the country, Malacañang said Tuesday.</p><p>This, after Mamamayang Liberal (ML) party-list Rep. Leila De Lima urged Marcos to name and prosecute those involved in flood control corruption.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/8/4/marcos-on-allies-responsible-for-filipinos-suffering-sorry-na-lang-hindi-na-kita-kaalyado-0958">Marcos on allies responsible for Filipinos&#x27; suffering : &#x27;Sorry na lang, hindi na kita kaalyado&#x27;</a></div><p>&quot;Hindi puwedeng ‘mahiya naman kayo.&#x27; Kung palpak ang proyekto at nalulusaw ang pondo, may dapat managot,” De Lima said in her privilege speech Monday.</p><p>&quot;Don’t threaten us with a re-enacted budget. Kung babalik lang din tayo sa parehong budget insertions... eh ‘di parang sinabing: Mahiya naman tayo pero tuloy pa rin ang ligaya,” she added. </p><p>In response, Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro said the President will not resort to threats nor unverified list while the investigation is underway.</p><p>“Hindi po gagayahin ng Pangulo ang anumang klase ng pag-threaten lamang. Hindi po siya maglalabas ng anumang mga listahan na hindi verified. Kung nangyayari man ito sa mga nakaraang administrasyon, hindi po gagawin ng Pangulo ‘yan,” she said in a press briefing in New Delhi, India, where Marcos is for a state visit.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/7/31/marcos-to-go-on-5-day-state-visit-to-india-in-august-1139">Marcos to go on 5-day state visit to India in August</a></div><p>On the latest episode of his podcast, Marcos said several individuals and corporations involved in corrupt schemes in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) have been identified, adding they would soon be blacklisted from government projects.</p><p>Marcos did not name who these contractors were, but noted that charges would soon be filed against these persons and companies who have delivered substandard projects.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>TRANSPARENCY</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>The Palace official said Marcos will go after unscrupulous individuals and their cohorts behind botched flood control projects once the investigation concludes.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/7/28/-mahiya-naman-kayo-marcos-order-probe-on-corruption-in-flood-control-projects-1725">&#x27;Mahiya naman kayo&#x27;: Marcos orders probe on possible corruption in flood control projects</a></div><p>“Mahirap po kasi na mag pabilis-bilis lang po, yung padalos-dalos sa kilos na mali pala at baka meron tayong inosenteng masabit at maapektuhan. So dapat po verified lahat ang facts at pananagutin po ang dapat managot.
