Col. Rommel Anicete, station commander ng Manila Police District Station 13, sa social media nagsisimula ang modus ng suspek.Nagpapakilala umano ang suspek na taga-Bureau of Customs at nagkukuwari na may ibebentang sasakyan. Matapos nito, kikitain niya ang mga kakagat sa kanyang offer.Kapag nagkabayaran na, magkukunwaring may pupuntahan sa bangko at Bureau of Customs ang suspek hanggang sa hindi na babalikan ang biktima.Isa sa mga nabiktima ng suspek ang isang buyer ng tractor mula sa Ilocos Sur.Nasa P1.2 million ang nakuha ng suspek sa biktima na nakipagkita sa kanya sa Barangay 650, Port Area, Manila, noong Lunes ng umaga.“They pretend na taga-Customs sila, mayroon silang link para makapagpalabas ng mga tractor heads sa murang halaga at may mga ID na pinapakita.“ ayon kay Anicete.Hindi ito ang unang pagkakaton na nasangkot sa ganitong modus ang suspek, ayon sa PNP.Noong Marso, itinakbo rin umano ng suspek ang P5.5 million sa biktimang dapat ay bebentahan ng sports car.Nasa P2.2 million naman ang nakuha niya sa isa pang biktima na kunwaring bebentahan ng tracktor nitong Hulyo.Tumanggi nang magbigay pa ng pahayag ang suspect.Nasa kustodiya na ngayon ng Baseco Police ang suspect na nahaharap sa reklamong estafa.
