Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News </span></span></span></div><p>MANILA (2nd UPDATE) - The Office of the Vice President (OVP) on Thursday said that it has spent P20.68 million of its 2025 international and local travel fund in the first 7 months of 2025, leaving the agency with some P41.82 million for the agency’s trips this year.</p><p>Of the P20.68 million, P13.20 million was used for Duterte’s local trips — “including community visits, ceremonial functions, and support services” — while P7.47 million was utilized for her security and staff who traveled with her for her overseas schedules, according to a statement from the OVP.</p><p>“We’d like to emphasize that all the travel overseas of the Vice President is covered by travel authority and did not include any public funds, did not use any public funds,” said Lemuel Ortonio, the OVP’s assistant chief of staff.</p><p>“The P7.47 million was utilized for the security personnel of the OVP, including the close-in or the civilian personnel,” added Atty. Kelvin Tenido, chief of the OVP’s Budget Division.</p><p>The OVP said it would later on provide a list of destinations that Duterte has traveled to in the first 7 months of 2025, but so far, the media has documented her trips to Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia and Qatar.
