Katrina Domingo, ABS-CBN News </span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Malacañang opened its Kalayaan Grounds to several nearby communities on Thursday to celebrate President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s 68th birthday on September 13.</p><p>Free food and entertainment were provided to those who joined the event, with the President dropping by to greet and take photos with some of the attendees.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/9/10/marcos-jr-says-birthday-wish-accomplish-all-goals-or-begin-some-before-term-ends-0032">Marcos Jr. says ‘birthday wish’: Accomplish all goals or begin some before term ends</a></div><p>Marcos did not deliver a speech before the crowd that gathered in the Palace lawns.</p><p>Malacañang has yet to disclose the number of participants that attended the event, but said that the guests were the President’s “supporters from across Metro Manila and as far as the Ilocos region, who came to personally greet the Chief Executive.”</p><p>After riding a golf cart across the lawn, and blowing his birthday cake on stage, Marcos, his wife Liza and their sons Majority Leader Sandro Marcos and Vincent returned to the main Palace building.</p>
