At victim nga dito si Eric Saber na isang construction worker na walang kinalaman sa rally,” Adonis said.</p><p>“Siya po ang naging isang casualty sa pamamaril ng kapulisan.“</p><p>The groups claimed that members of the Manila Police District (MPD) and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team used excessive force during the September 21 dispersal in Mendiola.</p><p>Video clips circulating online showed heavily armed police personnel chasing protesters and brandishing firearms.</p><p>“Maraming sinaktan noong September 21. Ilegal na mga inaresto, mga bystanders. Imagine, kulang-kulang isandaan na minor ang kanilang basta na lamang pinagdadampot,” he said.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>&#x27;PEACEFUL&#x27;</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>Adonis stressed the September 21 protest was held to raise concerns over corruption and alleged government inaction.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/9/25/protesters-demand-release-of-minors-arrested-after-manila-rally-1628">Protesters demand release of minors arrested after Manila rally</a></div><p>He said what was supposed to be a peaceful protest ended in violence.</p><p>“Lehitimo ang protesta, lehitimo po ang isyu na dala-dala. Usapin ito ng laban sa korapsyon at napakatinding, karumaldumal, sistematikong pagnanakaw sa buwis natin. Biktima po tayong lahat dito, tayo po ang pinagnakawan.
