<p>MANILA <strong>(UPDATED)</strong> — Four individuals passed away and at least 1,000 devotees sought medical help throughout the Traslacion 2026, authorities said Saturday, Jan. 10.</p><p>&quot;We already have the number of casualties reported to us from the time that the andas arrived at Quiapo Church. We have a total of four casualties po. Ang hiling po namin ay ipagdasal sila,&quot; Traslacion spokesperson Fr. Robert Arellano said in a press conference.</p><p>(We request that everyone pray for them.)</p><p>Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office earlier confirmed a <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/1/9/photojournalist-covering-traslacion-dies-1251">photojournalist </a>passed away after collapsing while covering the procession on Friday.</p><p>1,057 devotees needed medical assistance, including the four fatalities, Arellano said. </p><p>&quot;At this point in time, based on the last assessment, okay na naman po yung iba. Wag lang siguro totally magpe-persist pa... But definitely at this point in time, they were all safe right now,&quot; he said. </p><p>(Some are already fine, but should probably not persist.)</p><p>Meanwhile, the Department of Health&#x27;s partial count as of 11 a.m. on Jan. 10 states that at least 390 were injured after being pinned down by other devotees, caught in the andas carrying the Jesus Nazareno, or fell attempting to climb on it.</p><p>Some devotees lost toes after being run over by the andas.</p><p>Other devotees felt dizziness, hypertension and hypotension during the procession.</p><p>DOH said the majority of the devotees given medical assistance are male, mostly aged 20 to 24, followed by those aged 15 to 19.</p><p>20 DOH health emergency response team stations and 20 hospitals across Metro Manila remain on alert for patients from the procession.</p><p>The image of Jesus Nazareno was brought back to the Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno in Quiapo, Manila 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, January 10.</p><p>This year’s procession lasted more than 30 hours, the longest in history. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/1/10/image-of-jesus-nazareno-back-in-quiapo-church-after-nearly-31-hours-1137">Image of Jesus Nazareno back in Quiapo church after nearly 31 hours</a></div><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2Wvi3A3CKv4?si=9RyNcjZG1-vpoZNH" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe><br/></div>
