Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File </span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla on Wednesday revealed that he and his brother Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla were offered P1 billion through an intermediary to “silence” the ongoing investigation into the anomalous flood control projects. </p><p>The DILG chief said the offer was relayed through a mutual friend who is close to both Remulla and an unnamed personality implicated in a flood control project.</p><p>“May nabanggit sa &#x27;kin kung pwede raw. Sabi ko, &#x27;Huwag na ako kausapin. Huwag na tayo mag-usap kung ganyan lang.&#x27; Tinigil ko na ‘yung usapan,” he said. </p><p>Remulla said the money was offered in exchange for “quieting down” the case, particularly to prevent the suspect from being indicted.</p><p>He said he rejected the offer and informed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. about the incident.</p><p>“It was a private meeting and I informed the President immediately what was going on.
