Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) on Thursday for the continuation of hearings in his qualified human trafficking case.</p><p>The hearing marked the first time Quiboloy came face-to-face in court with former Philippine National Police vhief and now MMDA General Manager Nicolas Torre III, who led Quiboloy’s arrest in August 2024 while serving as Davao Region Police Chief.</p><div><br/></div><div src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charSet="utf-8"></script><p>Torre is the third witness of the prosecution in the trial.</p><p>The prosecution’s presentation focused on confirming that Quiboloy was arrested and did not voluntarily surrender.</p><p>After the hearing, Quiboloy said the trial is going well.</p><p>“Bukas na naman, and we hope na. Kasi maganda yung takbo,” he said.</p><p>Atty. Israelito Torreon, Quiboloy&#x27;s lawyer, conducted the cross-examination of Torre.</p><p>“Ngayon  nag conduct ako ng cross examination sa isang witness kay General Torre, hindi pa natapos, tuloy naman bukas,” he said.</p><p>He added that portions of the examination were “medyo mainit” but also included moments of relaxation.</p><p>“I’m testifying as a prosecution witness,” Torre said.</p><p>His testimony was meant to establish that the accused was arrested in accordance with the law.</p><p>Neither Quiboloy nor Torreon provided further comments on related contempt or sub judice issues.</p><p>The hearing is set to continue on Friday with the cross-examination of General Torre still underway.</p>
