<p>MANILA — Authorities arrested a 48-year-old Korean national upon his arrival from Busan, South Korea at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 on Friday night, January 23.</p><p>Authorities said the suspect is facing a rape case involving a 24-year-old Filipina. Based on the initial investigation, the incident occurred on October 31, 2025, inside a hotel in Ermita, Manila, where the suspect and the victim were having a drinking session.</p><p>Also present during the drinking session was the victim’s boyfriend, also a Korean national, and reportedly a friend of the suspect. The boyfriend however allegedly  left before the incident and did not return.</p><p>“Yong kaniyang boyfriend ay umuwi muna sa kanilang tinutuluyan. Hindi na rin siya nakabalik dahil according na rin doon sa boyfriend ay nalasing na rin siya,” said PCapt. Veronica Apresurado, chief of the Women and Children Concern Section of the Manila Police District.</p><p>The victim was allegedly left alone with the suspect.</p><p>“According po sa ating biktima ay nag-pass out siya at hindi na niya alam ‘yong nangyari. Kaya nagulat na lang siya na may ginagawang masama sa kaniya itong kaibigan niya, kaibigan ng boyfriend niya,” PCapt. Apresurado added.</p><p>On November 4, 2025, the victim sought assistance from the Women and Children Concern Section of the Manila Police District to formally report the incident.</p><p>A warrant of arrest was issued on January 12, 2026 against the suspect, who was considered one of the MPD&#x27;s most wanted.</p><p>“I don’t know… I cannot speak English, sir.
