<p>MANILA (<strong>2nd UPDATED</strong>) — The National Capital Region Police Office on Friday night arrested the primary suspects in the disappearance and killing of a female police officer and her eight-year-old son.</p><p>The Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District said it has taken into custody three suspects: two men aged 41 and 44, and a 29-year-old woman who were arrested in different parts of the city.</p><p>Police have also recovered a silver SUV allegedly used to transport and dump the bodies of Police Senior Master Sergeant Diane Marie Mollenido and her son John Ysmael. The mobile phones of the two victims have also been recovered.</p><p>Meanwhile, QCPD Novaliches Station 4, Scene of the Crime Operations (SOCO), and Pulilan Police conducted a search operation along the Pulilan-Baliuag Bypass Road in Barangay Dulong Malabon, Pulilan, Bulacan -- the area where Mollenido&#x27;s body was found.</p><p>One of the suspects pointed out the alleged location where the firearm used in the killings was discarded. </p><p>Authorities cleared the area using a grass cutter and also deployed a metal detector in an attempt to locate the weapon. As of Saturday afternoon, however, the firearm has yet to be discovered.</p><p>Police said that once recovered, the firearm will be taken to Camp Karingal in Quezon City for ballistic and forensic examination.</p>
