Courtesy: NCRPO PIO</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — Police on Thursday arrested two individuals in an entrapment operation over an alleged counterfeit luxury bag scam in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.</p><p>Arrested were suspects identified only by their aliases “Glenn,” 25, and “Imel,” 29.</p><p>Police said the case stemmed from a complaint filed by a 29-year-old call center agent who reported that the suspects sold her a “Birkin Hermes” bag worth P700,000 on February 7, 2026. The item was later declared counterfeit after professional authentication.</p><p>Authorities said the suspects contacted the victim again on February 26 and offered another item — a “Kelly 25 Hermes” bag — for P950,000. </p><p>Coordinating with police, the victim agreed to meet the suspects, setting the stage for an entrapment operation.</p><p>Recovered from the suspects were two “Kelly 25 Hermes” bags — one white and one black — as well as a Chanel item, a Coach bag, and a magnifying loupe glass believed to be used in presenting the products as authentic.</p><p>The suspects are set to face charges for Estafa (Swindling), with the case referred to the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office for inquest proceedings.</p><div><br/></div><p>.</p>
