Malaking porsyento ng mamamayan galit sa political dynasty, 64%. Gamitin natin yan para papirmahin ang mga tao laban sa political dynasty at taong bayan na ang gumawa ng batas. Dahil yun lamang ang tanging paraang nakikita ko para maisabatas na yan dahil walang pag-asa talaga sa ilalim ng elite at dynasting gobyerno,&quot; De Guzman said Monday.</p><p>&quot;Baka pag nagkasundo, ngayong April ay magsimula na yung papirmahan sa anti-political dynasty. Sana samahan kami ng ating mga kababayan para wakasan na ang political dynasty sa ating bansa. Dahil yun ang mag-e-enshrine and establish political dynasties in all levels of local government,&quot; Artikulo Onse co-convenor Lorenzo &quot;Erin&quot; Tañada III said.</p><p>Atty. Renecio &quot;Luke&quot; Espiritu Jr., another co-convenor of Artikulo Onse who is also part of PLM, likewise slammed the anti-political dynasty bill in the lower chamber. </p><p>&quot;Ang original na proposal nila Speaker Dy at ni Sandro Marcos ay fourth degree. Pero pagdating sa komite, ay ginawa nilang second degree. So lalong ni-restrict nang ni-restrict. It is really a joke. Hindi siya anti-dynasty legislation. It is a legislation that will perpetuate the dynasties,&quot; Espiritu said. </p><p>There is a pending anti-political dynasty bill both in the House and Senate which restrict up to the second degree of consanguinity and affinity.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>-- &#x27;Accountability without excuses&#x27; -- </strong></div><p>Meanwhile, the group is also calling for &quot;accountability without excuse,&quot; two days before the March 25 hearing of the House Committee on Justice on the two impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte.</p><p>&quot;Gusto rin ng taong bayan marinig ano ba nangyari doon sa confidential funds na daang milyon na yan? Gusto ng tao. Because that is basic accountability. Hindi lang yun, yung mga misbehavior na ginagawa ng Bise Presidente. Jose Virigilio Bautista said.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/3/21/sara-duterte-duty-bound-to-attend-march-25-house-panel-impeach-hearing-lawyer-1420">READ: Sara Duterte ‘duty-bound’ to attend March 25 House panel impeach hearing — lawyer</a></div><p>De Guzman said what the public wants is to hold all those involved in corruption accountable.</p><p>&quot;Panagutin lahat hanggang sa Presidente,&quot; he said.</p><p>Artikulo Onse also pushed for continuous investigation on anomalous flood control projects, saying accountability should not be forgotten amidst other pressing issues.</p><p>Moreover, they expressed outrage at the <a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/3/23/up-to-ombudsman-to-review-alleged-ici-findings-clearing-romualdez-in-flood-control-mess-palace-1438">Independent Commission for Infrastructure</a> (ICI), which it described as a &quot;body that has so far proven inutile and toothless in the face of a trillion-peso flood control anomaly,&quot; especially after it supposedly cleared former House Speaker Martin Romualdez.</p><p>&quot;If no charges are filed, then this committee is nothing but a cruel joke—isang sampal sa taumbayan na niloko na, pinagtakpan pa. The people should demand an accounting of ICI,&quot; Bautista said.</p>
