Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File </span></span></span></div><p>MANILA (<strong>2nd UPDATE</strong>) -- Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) acting director Brig. Gen. Jessie Tamayao is facing administrative complaints for sexual harassment filed by a policewoman, the National Police Commission (Napolcom) said Wednesday.</p><p>In a five-page sworn statement submitted to the Napolcom, the police personnel assigned to the Regional Highway Patrol Unit in Calabarzon sought the general&#x27;s dismissal for alleged violations of the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act after he reportedly invited her to engage in sexual activity.</p><p>She added that the official&#x27;s actions were allegedly accompanied by intimidation and threats, including being reassigned to Mindanao if she refused his advances. </p><p>Tamayao was also slapped with a complaint for violating the Data Privacy Act after he allegedly accessed her cellphone without consent, read her messages, and took photos of images and conversations from her gallery, Messenger, and Viber accounts. He also allegedly threatened to use these against her if she reported the incident.</p><p>The incident happened at the PNP-HPG headquarters at Camp Crame on March 15, according to the complaint.</p><p>&quot;Galing daw siya sa isang hiking…kukunin lang niya gamit siya, sasaglit lang siya,&quot; Napolcom Commissioner Rafael Vicente told ABS-CBN News. </p><p>&quot;Pinuntahan siya doon sa parang locker room nila. Dinala rin siya sa kanyang kwarto at apat na oras siyang inipit  at apat na oras siyang inipit doon,&quot; he related. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>REQUEST TO RELIEVE</strong></div><p>Calinisan has already asked PNP Chief General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. for the immediate relief of Tamayao from his current post and his reassignment to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (PHAU) &quot;to safeguard the integrity, impartiality, and credibility of any investigation that may be conducted.&quot;</p><p>&quot;We cannot tolerate this kind of behavior sa police force especially if that is a ranking police officer,&quot; Calinisan said.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>TAMAYAO QUITS, DENIES ALLEGATIONS</strong></div><p>In a statement, Tamayao denied the accusation against him.</p><p>&quot;I want to state, in the clearest and most categorical terms, that I am innocent of these charges... I can only deduce this is a personal vendetta, the reason of which I am not aware,&quot; he said.</p><p>Tamayao said he is resigning from his post as acting director of the PNP Highway Patrol Group, effective immediately, &quot;to ensure a completely impartial, fair, and transparent conduct of the investigation.&quot;</p><p>&quot;My decision to resign is not an admission of guilt, but a demonstration of my commitment to due process and the institutional reputation of the Philippine National Police,&quot; he said.</p><p>&quot;I fully welcome a thorough investigation, and I am prepared to cooperate with the investigating body to clear my name. I am confident that the truth will prevail through the proper legal and administrative channels,&quot; he added.</p>
