Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News/File</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA <strong>(UPDATED) </strong>— The Office of the Ombudsman is ready to provide Congress with all the Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALNs) of Vice President Sara Duterte in its repository, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla announced Thursday.</p><p>“It’s part of the constitutional process that we have… and we just abide by the rules when it comes to impeachment proceedings,” Remulla said during a media briefing.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/10/11/sara-duterte-open-to-ombudsman-remulla-looking-into-her-saln-1959">&#x27;Ilagay na niya sa harap niya&#x27;: Sara Duterte open to Ombudsman Remulla looking into her SALN</a></div><p>The House of Representatives’ Committee on Justice earlier issued a subpoena seeking Duterte’s SALN from 2007 onwards as it tackles the fresh impeachment complaint against her.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/3/25/house-panel-to-subpoena-sara-duterte-saln-nbi-findings-on-threat-vs-marcos-1241">House panel to subpoena Sara Duterte SALN, NBI findings on threat vs Marcos</a></div><p>The request includes Duterte’s SALNs from her time as mayor and vice mayor of Davao City.</p><p>Remulla said his office has also coordinated with the House secretary general’s office to obtain lawmakers’ SALNs.</p><p>He warned agencies they may be held liable if they fail to comply with the Office of the Ombudsman&#x27;s requests.</p><p>Wednesday marked the start of the impeachment hearing proper with Duterte and her 16 lawyers were notably absent.  </p><p>The vice president earlier dismissed the process as a “media narrative” and a “fishing expedition” against her.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>COMPLAINTS VS. VP DUTERTE CONSOLIDATED</strong></div><p>Assistant Ombudsman Mico Clavano meanwhile said complaints filed at their office against Duterte have been consolidated — these include those filed by civil society groups and by former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, and referrals from the House. </p><p>“We are looking at the allegations and we are verifying everything that is written in those complaints,” Clavano said.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/1/21/trillanes-group-file-plunder-graft-raps-vs-vp-sara-duterte-1144">VP Sara Duterte faces plunder, graft raps at Ombudsman </a></div><p>The complaints, including allegations raised by Ramil Madriaga, are already subject to a fact-finding investigation.</p><p>Madriaga previously accused Duterte of obtaining campaign funds from illegal offshore gaming and drug trafficking operations — an allegation that Duterte has denied.</p><p>Clavano said the office will carefully assess Madriaga’s allegations and will be circumspect in engaging him to prevent conflict with congressional proceedings.</p><p>“We want to make sure na isa-isa muna kasi marami namang overwhelming. When we talk about witnesses like that kailangan ‘yan, alagaan i-develop mo para lumabas yung talagang katotohanan,” he added.</p><p>(We need to take turns so he will not be overwhelmed.
