Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News </span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — Four more cadets of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) have been identified for their alleged direct involvement in the<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/4/10/napolcom-to-probe-reported-hazing-at-pnpa-1016"> hazing of at least 22 underclassmen.</a></p><p>Police earlier<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/4/9/3-kadete-ng-pnpa-arestado-sa-umano-y-hazing-1755"> took three cadets into custody </a>and further investigation led to the identification of four additional cadets who would be included in the cases and could face appropriate charges.</p><p>Subpoenas have been served to concerned personnel and cadets, requiring them to appear before investigators. </p><p>“Any act that causes harm, demeans dignity or distorts the true meaning of discipline has no place in the Philippine National Police. Walang puwang ang hazing sa ating organisasyon,” PNP Chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said. </p><p>“At sisiguraduhin natin na sinuman ang lumabag sa utos na ito ay mananagot,” he said during Monday’s flag-raising ceremony. </p><p>The PNP chief reminded trainees and personnel to uphold professionalism and respect within training institutions.</p><p>“Ang layunin ng pagsasanay ay maghubog ng kakayahan at integridad, hindi takot o pananakit. Maging malinaw ito sa lahat—anumang uri ng pang-aabuso ay mahigpit na ipagbabawal at papatawan ng kaukulang aksyon,” he said in a separate statement. </p><p>Nartatez has ordered a full reassessment by key directorates and the PNPA as a corrective measure to strengthen safeguards, enforce accountability, and prevent similar incidents.</p><p>“Inuulit ko, walang puwang ang hazing sa ating hanay. Ito ay isang tahasang paglabag sa disiplina, dangal at sa ating paninindigan bilang mga alagad ng batas.
