Angat Bayanihan, the volunteer network of Angat Buhay, implements programs run by volunteers in efforts to aid poor and marginalized sectors.<em> Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News/File</em></span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA<strong> (UPDATE)</strong> — Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo said she would not run for a national post in the 2028 elections. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/5/13/leni-robredo-elected-naga-mayor-1049">Leni Robredo is Naga&#x27;s first female mayor</a></div><p>The former vice president said she still had a lot left to do in her hometown. </p><p>“Sigurado na ako sa sarili ko na hindi na ko ma-national,” she told 91.1 DWNX FM. </p><p>The mayor explained that while progress has been made, much remains to be done in Naga City.</p><p>“Sa hiling ko considerably, m-aa-achieve ta man si mga pigset nin … pero beyond that kadakol pang gigibuhon,” she added.</p><p>[Sa tingin ko considerably, ma-a-achieve naman natin ’yong mga sinet na… pero beyond that marami pang gagawin.]</p><p>Robredo also pointed out the constraints of her current term, describing it as too short to accomplish all her goals.</p><p>&quot;Ako sa tingin ko, ang three years maiksi. Maiksi siya para gawin ang lahat. In fact, very frustrating para sa akin… na marami ang gusto kong gawin na hindi ko mamadali dahil kailangan kong i-navigate ang bureaucracy.
