The milestone celebration highlighted more than seven decades of engagement since the formal establishment of ties on April 8, 1951, and underscored continued collaboration in promoting peace and social development. <em>Presidential Communications Office </em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. vowed to Filipinos that government services will go unhampered despite the crisis being faced by the country.</p><p>The Philippines is under a state of national energy emergency brought about by the effects of surging oil prices due to the Middle East conflict triggered by US-Israel attacks on Iran.</p><p>In a vlog published Sunday, April 26, Marcos Jr. said government agencies continue to provide services to various sectors, adding that they will not allow government services to be paralyzed whatever crisis there may be.</p><p>“Kahit pabigat ang krisis natin sa enerhiya, ang trabaho ng gobyerno ay hindi maaaring doon lang tumigil. Patuloy lang ang paggawa ng mga kalye at daan, patuloy ang pangangalaga sa mga may sakit, sa mga estudyante. Hindi pwedeng huminto ang pagpuksa sa krimen, hindi rin pwedeng tumigil ang pagsuporta sa ating mga atleta, sa kultura, sa sining, sa turismo,” he said.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/4/24/ph-one-of-hardest-hit-by-oil-price-shocks-but-can-bounce-back-bsp-1726">Philippines one of &#x27;hardest hit&#x27; by oil price shocks but can bounce back: BSP</a></div><p>“Patuloy ang trabaho sa lahat ng sangay ng gobyerno.
