It is everyone’s responsibility,” the DILG chief added.Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) also observed a steady drop in apprehensions, from about 11,000 to 13,000 in the first days of implementation to lower numbers in recent weeks, which they attribute to higher compliance among the public.“Nakikita natin ‘yung trending ng pagbaba ng apprehensions natin mag mula sa 11,000 at 13,000 noong una&#x27;t pangalawang araw. Ito ‘yung mga murder, homicide, physical injury. Sinundan ito ng pagbaba ng mga crimes against property, ‘yung robbery at theft,” Tuaño noted. He added authorities are still completing full-day April data to compare crime figures with April 2025 and April 2024, but early trends already indicate a significant drop.Police urged officers to exercise “common sense” in enforcing ordinances, particularly the shirtless policy, emphasizing that the program aims to protect communities, especially minors.
