<p>MANILA — Vice President Sara Duterte said Tuesday she is now an adopted daughter of Lamut, Ifugao– a municipality in Northern Luzon.</p><p>Northern Luzon is known as the “Solid North” in politics, and is traditionally viewed as a stronghold of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s family.</p><p>&quot;Kahit ako ay nanggaling sa napakalayong siyudad sa Mindanao, hindi naging hadlang na ako ay tanggapin ninyo bilang isang anak ng Lamut, Ifugao,&quot; Duterte said.</p><p>&quot;Isa itong napakahalagang regalo na hindi kailanman mabibili ng salapi at hindi kailanman maibabalik o mabayaran ko sa inyo,&quot; the Vice President added.</p><p>Duterte spoke at the Rambakan Festival of Lamut, where she joked about buying real estate property there.</p><p>&quot;Dahil gusto ko nang ipakita sa inyo ang aking pagpapasalamat at paninigurado na hindi ko kayo makalimutan dito sa Lamut, Ifugao ay bibili ako ng lupa at bahay dito sa inyo sa Lamut,&quot; Duterte said.</p><p>&quot;Mabuti na iyong madagdagan natin ang mga unexplained wealth ni Inday Sara Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth kung saan niya kinuha ang pambili ng bahay sa Lamut. This is 3 percentage points above her rating in the past survey.  </p><p><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/3/2/raffy-tulfo-eyes-reelection-in-2028-declines-higher-office-1355">Senator Raffy Tulfo</a>, who has declared he won&#x27;t run for higher office, got the nod of 18.5 percent of respondents, while former Vice President and now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo got 15.7 percent. </p><p>They are followed by those with single digit scores, namely, Senators Bong Go, Bam Aquino, and Kiko Pangilinan, former Senator Sonny Angara, Senator Risa Hontiveros, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla, Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon and former police chief Nicolas Torre.</p><p>Robin Garcia, founder and chairman of WR Numero, noted 19.4 percent of respondents were still unsure of their presidential pick. </p><p>“For presidential aspirants, this 20 percent will be crucial. Whoever gets the 20 percent will enjoy a big bump in their level of support and will see their numbers improve,” Garcia said.</p><p>&quot;&#x27;The task of a successful presidential candidate is, of course, to not lose their hard supporters, not lose their soft supporters, get supporters from other candidates, and attract and woo the people who have not yet decided.&quot;</p><p>&quot;This is absolutely crucial in the next few months and in the next 12 months. If they want to position themselves as an attractive candidate, they have to make sure that they align with the interests of the Filipino people,” Garcia added.</p><p>In the vice presidential race, 26.8 percent said they were not sure who to pick, 12.2 percent picked Go, 11.9 percent picked former Senator Grace Poe, 11.7 percent picked Senator Robin Padilla.</p><p>They were followed by Senators Rodante Marcoleta, Risa Hontiveros, Francis Escudero, Kiko Pangilinan, President Marcos, Jr, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Bam Aquino, Senator Imee Marcos, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, Dizon, Angara, Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magaling and Torre.</p><p>Meanwhile, Sen. Raffy Tulfo led the Senate race with 42 percent, followed by Padilla, Poe, Alan Peter Cayetano, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte, Davao City Congressman Pulong Duterte, former Senator Manny Pacquiao, Senator Loren Legarda, Makati Mayor Nancy Binay, Ben Tulfo, Escudero, former Makati Mayor Abby Binay, and Angara. </p><p>Sixteen percent were not sure about their Senate picks. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>NO POST ANNOUNCEMENT SURGE YET</strong></div><div><br/></div><p>In February, the Vice President said she would seek the presidency in 2028.</p><p>Garcia noted while the Duterte brand endures as shown by the numbers of the Duterte siblings, the Vice President has yet to get a survey surge after the announcement of her possible presidential run. </p><p>&quot;If you look at the previous presidential elections, in fact, even Sara Duterte&#x27;s own father, who reached around 30 to 40 percent…when he decided to run. We don&#x27;t see that yet from Sara Duterte&#x27;s numbers,&quot; Garcia said.</p><p>Meanwhile, 48 percent rejected a hypothetical alliance between the Marcos administration and the so-called Yellow Pink faction led by Robredo and her allies. Those who were unsure were at 34 percent, while only 18 percent said yes. </p><p>“Perhaps these are the hard voters of these coalitions who believe…these factions don&#x27;t share a common interest.
