The factory is in full swing as they produce concrete parts which will then be assembled to finish the South Commuter Railways Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. honored the Philippine workforce as the country commemorated Labor Day on Friday and reiterated his promise of creating more and better jobs despite economic pressures. </p><p>“Today, we honor every member of our workforce whose hands carry the weight of our shared future-whether at sunrise, beneath the noonday heat, or in the long hours when the nation sleeps,” Marcos said. </p><p>“Even as technology advances and industries transform, one truth endures: it is the Filipino worker who drives the Philippines forward and keeps the world in motion,” he said in a statement.</p><p>The president recognized the “grit and sacrifice” of Filipino workers in which “families find stability and the country finds strength.”</p><p>“You are, and will always be, the backbone of our Republic,” Marcos said.</p><p>“Thus, this day must be more than an observance.
