Kapag may valid na warrant, yun,&quot; he said.</p><p>&quot;Ngayon mayroon tayong batas, Republic Act 9851 sinasabi doon na kapag mayroong akusado na iniimbestigahan ng international tribunal, yoon ay isusurrender ng Philippine authorities. So ito yun. Ngayon nananawagan tayo kay Senate President Alan Cayetano gawin niya yung tama. Wag siyang mag-coddle ng fugitive,&quot; he added.</p><p>Trillanes warned that preventing the arrest could damage the Senate: &quot;It will reflect badly on the Senate. Kailangan nito ng public pressure… Itong institution na ito this is a law making body. It’s not a law breaking body.&quot;</p><p>Trillanes said if Dela Rosa is arrested, he is unsure if he will be immediately flown to the ICC in The Hague, the Netherlands similar to what happened with former President Rodrigo Duterte. </p><p>The ICC confirmed later on Monday that it has <a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/11/icc-confirms-arrest-warrant-against-dela-rosa-2111">issued an arrest warrant against dela Rosa</a> and is currently &quot;unsealing&quot; the document. </p><p>The Department of Justice had earlier distanced itself from the supposed arrest warrant issued by the ICC against Dela Rosa, as was shown by Trillanes. </p><p>&quot;The Department has not seen or received a copy of any alleged warrant,&quot; said DOJ spokesperson Atty. Polo Martinez in a statement. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>DELA ROSA RESURFACES</strong></div><p>In November 2025, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla claimed to have seen an ICC arrest warrant against Dela Rosa, who is seen as the chief implementer of the Duterte administration&#x27;s bloody war on drugs. </p><p>Dela Rosa returned to the Senate on Monday for the first time since the Ombudsman&#x27;s claim.</p><p>Asked what his &quot;game plan&quot; was, prior to Trillanes showing the supposed warrant to the media, dela Rosa said: &quot;Idadaan sa tamang proseso.
