Bato to Marcos Jr.: 'I deserve your support'

MANILA -- Sen. Ronald &quot;Bato&quot; Dela Rosa  again appealed on Tuesday evening to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for his support regarding the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.&quot;At the end of the day, I am a Filipino, President Marcos Jr. is a Filipino, and he is our president. So I think I deserve some support coming from this government,&quot; Dela Rosa said in an interview with TV Patrol.&quot;Trabaho naman talaga ng gobyerno &#x27;yan na protektahan &#x27;yung kaniyang mga citizens. Hindi lang ito para sa akin, para sa lahat ng Pilipino ito... We deserve the support of this government,&quot; he added.Dela Rosa earlier appealed to Marcos Jr., asking the president to not send him to The Hague.When asked if he believes the Marcos administration would heed his call despite the arrest of ex-president Rodrigo Duterte happening under the same administration, Dela Rosa said he is optimistic.&quot;Wala naman sigurong imposible... &#x27;Pag mayroon tayong kababayan na nagkaproblema sa abroad binibigyan natin ng legal assistance. Ngayon, ako, na nagsilbi nang tapat sa ating bansa, ibibigay niyo na lang &#x27;doon? I am a Filipino and I deserve your,&quot;  he said.Dela Rosa also said hat he was not read his Miranda Rights when the NBI attempted to arrest him at the Senate premises on Monday.
