Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File</div>MANILA -- Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano on Tuesday continued the reorganization of the Senate with the designation of vice chairpersons and members to various committees.Senator Robinhood Padilla was named vice-chairperson of the Committee on Basic Education along  Senators Bong Go, Jinggoy Estrada, Pia Cayetano, Mark Villar, Imee Marcos, Joel Villanueva, and Rodante Marcoleta as members for the Majority.Elected as members of the Committee on Culture and the Arts for the majority are Senators Padilla, Pia Cayetano, Villanueva,  Marcoleta, and Marcos.Elected to the Committee on Higher Technical Vocational Education on the part of the majority, Senator Loren Legarda as, Vice Chairperson and as members, Senator Pia Cayetano, Senator Go, Senator Padilla, and Senator Mark Villar.Elected to the Committee on public order Senators Go, Estrada, Marcoleta, Padilla, and Marcos for the majority, with Go, Estrada, Marcoleta as vice chairpersons of the committee.<div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/20/pia-cayetano-named-senate-blue-ribbon-chair-as-senate-reorganization-continues-1640">READ: Pia Cayetano named Blue Ribbon chair as Senate reorganization continues</a></div>The Majority is also preparing to offer some chairmanships to the Minority, as well as the reconstitution of the Commission on Appointments.Also on Tuesday, Senator Lito Lapid that <a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/26/lito-lapid-says-staying-with-minority-1535">he will stay with the Senate Minority</a> and backed Senator Miguel Zubiri&#x27;s motion from Monday to strike from the record the video presentation that accompanied Senator Imee Marcos&#x27; speech baring the alleged plot to revised the 1987 charter. Cayetano also announced that there will be an all member caucus to discuss the schedule of the Senate  to be followed by a majority caucus. Cayetano also vowed that the Senate will cooperate with ongoing investigations on the shooting incident of May 13. &quot;So, we continue to receive subpoenas or requests for information from different, agencies and departments. We have, from the start, fully cooperated,&quot; he said.Senator Erwin Tulfo, meanwhile, was reassured by Cayetano that media will not be restricted from covering the Senate.
