Duterte outlines her priorities, including governance reforms, public service continuity, and national development. <em>Maria Tan, ABS-CBN News </em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA<strong> (2nd UPDATE) </strong>— Vice President Sara Duterte continued to lead both the 2028 presidential preference rankings and net satisfaction ratings in the latest results of separate nationwide surveys.</p><p>Results of a recent survey by Pulse Asia Research, commissioned by Stratbase Group, showed that 51 percent of Filipinos would vote for Duterte if the May 2028 presidential elections were held during the survey period.</p><p>Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo, a former vice president, came in second with 43 percent of respondents saying they would vote for her.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/5/tulfo-ties-with-duterte-in-recent-pulse-asia-presidential-survey-1137">Tulfo, Duterte tied in mock presidential matchup — Pulse Asia survey</a></div><p>Meanwhile, a survey conducted by Social Weather Stations from March 24 to 31 found 54 percent of respondents saying they were satisfied with Duterte&#x27;s performance.</p><p>Senate President Vicente &#x27;&#x27;Tito&#x27;&#x27; Sotto III, with a 44-percent satisfaction rating, came in second.</p><p>The surveys were conducted before the impeachment proceedings against Duterte began at the House of Representatives.</p><p>The House has since impeached her and the Senate has convened as an impeachment court for trial.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>LLAMAS: SURVEY NUMBERS WILL CHANGE WITH IMPEACHMENT TRIAL</strong></div><p>A political analyst pointed out the survey does not reflect public sentiment on the issues raised in the House hearings and on Duterte&#x27;s eventual impeachment.</p><p>“[I]t takes time bago yan magkaroon ng effect sa survey,” political analyst Ronald Llamas, who was an adviser to then President Benigno Aquino III and founding president of Akbayan Citizens&#x27; Action Party, explained. </p><p>Llamas said the numbers may also be because Duterte is the lone potential candidate who has announced intentions to run for president.</p><p>He also pointed out Robredo had jumped from a single-digit preference score in previous surveys.</p><p>“Tapos ngayon, 41 siya. Siya yung tumataas. Habang si Sara, nang galing sa 80 plus percent, two years ago, three years ago, ngayon ay nasa 50,” he added. </p><p>(Now she is at 41. She is the one gaining. Meanwhile, Sara, from 80 plus percent two or three years ago, is at 50)</p><p>Llamas expects numbers to change once the impeachment trial begins, saying the House Justice Committee only looked at evidence that would indicate probable cause and trigger a trial.</p><p>“Wala pa roon yung karamihan ng mga bank accounts. Wala pa roon yung mga properties, mansion, kotse, lupa. So, yan ay lalabas sa impeachment process,” he added. </p><p>(That did not include most of the bank accounts. That did not include the properties, mansion, cars, land.
