Wala po tayong na-encounter na mga ganyang offer. As a matter of fact, we consumed two months in the Justice committee, wala pong kumausap sa akin, nag-alok sa akin, nanakot sa akin. I deny the statement of the Vice President,&quot; the lawmaker said in a news forum Saturday, May 9.</p><p>Duterte, in an interview with supporters in the Hague, the Netherlands on May 7, alleged that many unnamed individuals are making money using her name when asked about the reported enough votes among congressmen to send her impeachment case to the Senate for trial. </p><p>&quot;Unta mawisikan na ilahang mga constituents sa kwarta sa ilahang bulsa ug sa ilang maleta,&quot; Duterte said in the vernacular.</p><p>(Sana maambunan ang mga constituents nila ng mga pera sa kanilang bulsa o maleta.)</p><p>Luistro also rejected the accusation of Senator Imee Marcos that a massive &#x27;incentive package&#x27; is being offered to congressmen to secure votes to impeach the vice president.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/9/sara-duterte-defense-team-says-ready-for-house-vote-on-impeachment-case-1119">READ: Sara Duterte defense team says ready for House vote on impeachment case</a></div><p>&quot;Of course I can speak for myself only, and I deny that pronouncement of Sen. Imee [Marcos] with all due respect to her. Wala po akong na-encounter na ganyan,&quot; the lawmaker said. </p><p>The presidential sister confirmed to ABS-CBN News the reported claim being attributed to her that there are cash offerings to congressmen to vote in favor of Duterte&#x27;s impeachment which includes P5 million in cash; P3 million additional MOOE per month and P150 million worth of projects per congressman. </p><p>Those who will vote no could face zero budget and possible legal charges, according to Marcos. </p><p>&quot;I deny that as well in as far as I am concerned. Wala po tayong naririnig, nae-encounter na ganyan, as a matter of fact, wala pong kumausap sa&#x27;kin regarding this impeachment process since day 1 of our proceeding in the Justice committee,&quot; Luistro added.</p><p>Tingog Partylist Rep. Jude Acidre, member of the House Justice panel, called the claim &quot;diversionary tactics&quot; and urged the senator to present evidence. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>WHAT TO EXPECT</strong></div><p>Luistro is set to deliver a sponsorship speech before the House plenary to &quot;defend&quot; the committee report and the resolution setting forth the Articles of Impeachment against Duterte on Monday, May 11.</p><p>She believes it will be the &quot;conscience&quot; of House lawmakers that will ultimately prevail once they vote whether to impeach the second-in-command. </p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/9/rep-chua-house-will-transmit-vp-sara-impeachment-case-to-senate-anytime-next-week-0924">READ: House will transmit VP Sara impeachment case to Senate &#x27;anytime&#x27; next week -- Chua</a></div><p>Luistro expects that after delivering her sponsorship speech to be followed by debates, they should be allowed to proceed to vote. </p><p>&quot;We understand that this is a constitutional process which must not be delayed,&quot; she said. </p><p>&quot;Kung ako ang tatanungin ng plenaryo, I am really inclined that these articles of impeachment be voted upon as well this coming Monday right after the sponsorship and the debate,&quot; Luistro added.</p><p>Luistro declined to comment on how many lawmakers are expected to vote in favor of Duterte&#x27;s second impeachment, but several lawmakers have expressed confidence that over 215 congressmen will vote to send the impeachment case to the Senate for trial.  </p><p>Asked if she will lead the House Prosecution panel in case the impeachment proceeds to trial, Luistro is leaving it up to the plenary, clarifying that the members of the House prosecution team will be elected among House lawmakers. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>&#x27;QUITE DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND&#x27;</strong></div><p>Meanwhile, Luistro questioned the statement of Senator Robin Padilla who earlier said that the Senate minority bloc will oppose the convening of the impeachment court in the event the Lower House transmits the articles of impeachment against Duterte for trial.  </p><p>Padilla earlier claimed that it is their &#x27;role&#x27; as members of the minority to &#x27;oppose&#x27; not only the impeachment but all matters as part of &#x27;parliamentary procedure.&#x27;</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/5/6/de-lima-hits-padilla-over-opposing-remark-di-ata-niya-naiintindihan-ang-trabaho-ng-minority-2350">READ: De Lima hits Padilla over &#x27;opposing&#x27; remark: &#x27;Di ata niya naiintindihan ang trabaho ng minority&#x27;</a></div><p>&quot;I respect Senator Robin [Padilla] but his statement is quite difficult to understand,&quot; she said. </p><p>&quot;Eh kung ang Supreme Court nga to this date, they are not issuing TRO, not issuing an injunction, he should give us opportunity to hear first: ano ba ang dahilan niyo why you are against convening the impeachment court?&quot; Luistro added. </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div><strong><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lFQ9PJmfi1I?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong><br/></div>
