Terry Ridon.</p><p>He said these will be part of the prosecution’s pre-trial brief, which they hope to present during Duterte’s impeachment trial.</p><p>&quot;So, katulad po ng bank accounts, mayroon pong ilang mga pag-aari na hindi po na-disclose sa kanya pong Statement of Assets sa Liabilities Net worth over the course of all the years,&quot; said Ridon, who leads the House prosecutors handling the article of impeachment on Duterte’s alleged unexplained wealth.</p><p>“These are personal properties. These are not real properties. But ito po ay papasok pa rin doon sa milyun-milyong pisong halaga. Lalo’t higit hindi naman ito isa o dalawa lang, kundi numerous pieces of property… We&#x27;ll get a valuation expert for it. Pero nasa milyun-milyong piso pa rin po ‘yung pinag-usapan natin dito,” he added.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/6/1/sara-duterte-files-impeachment-reply-1646">Sara Duterte responds to impeachment raps</a></div><p>“Mga pag-aari po ito na nakalagay po sa mga listahan po ng mga opisina ng pamahalaan, pero hindi po ito nailista sa kahit po anumang Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth document ng atin pong Pangalawang Pangulo. ‘Yan po ‘yung isa sa naging batayan ng conviction ni dating Supreme Court Justice Renato Corona., ‘yang ganyan pong exact, specific, non-disclosure ng pag-aari,” Ridon explained.</p><p>Asked how the supposed undeclared personal properties were discovered, Ridon gave this response.</p><p>“Sa huddle po ng team namin, isa po ‘yan doon sa mga napag-usapan. Kailangan natin matingnan ‘yung each and every government agency na pwede pong may mga nakatala na pag-aari po ‘yung pangalang Pangulo at ang kanya pong asawa.”</p><p>The prosecution will include in its list of witnesses, individuals, who will authenticate the documentary evidence.</p><p>&quot;The only additional witnesses would be the person, who will authenticate and give sense on this new piece of evidence. We will get someone from government to authenticate it. Kasi siyempre, the document is a government listing of specific properties. Lorna Kapunan asserted the rules allow the prosecution to present new evidence in the impeachment trial, even those that were not presented during the House Committee on Justice hearings.</p><p>“Based po sa rules, pwede pa rin up until pre-trial, pwede pa rin beyond pre-trial. So if they will object, then we will let them object. Pero we will wait for the Clerk of Court or for the Senate Impeachment Court to make a determination on which document, which witness can actually be presented during trial proper,” Ridon said.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2026/6/11/prosecution-names-private-lawyers-tapped-for-vp-sara-impeachment-trial-1240">Prosecution names private lawyers tapped for VP Sara impeachment trial</a></div><p>“Kasi, halimbawa, ito pong sa defense na lang… they submitted a very non-acceptable answer to the Senate Impeachment Court. Halos walang magiging pagbabatayan ng kahit anumang ebidensya o dokumento ‘yun. So, if they present specific witnesses or documents, it&#x27;s something that we can actually object to, hindi ba, when we reach that point. So, I&#x27;m quite certain naman that the Clerk of Court will see the relevancy and the materiality of this particular piece of document that will be submitted. So, they will look at it and they will approve it, is our expectation,” he explained.</p><p>“This is authorized under the pre-trial rules of the Senate Impeachment Court itself. We cannot preempt the ruling of the Impeachment Court, but under the Rules of Court and under the pre-trial order, notice of pre-trial issued by the Senate Impeachment Court… this is allowed,” Kapunan said.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>PRE-TRIAL BRIEF</strong></div><p>The House prosecution’s pre-trial brief is expected to be completed within this weekend in time for the Monday submission before the Senate Impeachment Court.</p><p>Private prosecutors also plan to file on Monday their entry of appearance, in anticipation of possible participation in the June 18 pre-trial conference, if needed.</p><p>“Very technical at very legalistic po ang pre-trial, because we will be marking evidence… Napakadami ng documents, and that requires expertise, court expertise. Kasi kaming private prosecutors, sanay na dyan magmarka ng ebidensya. But… kami po ay under the control and supervision of the public prosecutors. So kung ano ang gustong ipagawa sa amin, if they want to personally handle the pre-trial, it is their discretion and decision po. Sherwin Gatchalian’s view that the threshold for conviction in the impeachment trial remains at 16 votes.</p><p>“I don&#x27;t think it is two-thirds of 24.
