MANILA -- The Philippine Marine Corps and the United States Marine Corps on Monday kicked off the 10th iteration of the &quot;Kaagapay ng mga Mandirigma Mula sa Dagat&quot; (KAMANDAG) Exercise 10-2026 in Taguig City.Aside from the Philippine and American forces, his year&#x27;s exercise brings together participating forces from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) and the Republic of Korea Marine Corps (ROKMC) to further strengthen regional military cooperation and interoperability. Representatives from Australia, Bahrain, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Thailand are likewise participating as observers.The KAMANDAG 10-2026 activities will be held across various training locations all over the country, including Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, Palawan, Tawi-Tawi, Manila and Cavite. This year&#x27;s exercise aims to evaluate the participants&#x27; readiness and bilateral and multilateral cooperation through combined tactical operations.Brigadier General Bob Apostol PN(M), Exercise Director of KAMANDAG 10-2026, emphasized how the KAMANDAG exercise evolved from bilateral engagement to a &quot;premier multinational platform built on trust, cooperation, and collective resolve.&quot;&quot;This exercise advances shared goals by strengthening capabilities, deepening relationships, and reaffirming a unified commitment to peace, stability, and collective security,&quot; he added, highlighting the necessity of readiness and cooperation.KAMANDAG Exercise 10-2026 aims to enhance military readiness, strengthen interoperability and advance cooperation among allies and partners dedicated to preserving peace, stability, freedom and openness in the Indo-Pacific region.
