<div><strong><em>WARNING: SENSITIVE NEWS</em></strong></div><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px;display:block" width="960"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1782805871938Jail-6.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left"><em>ABS-CBN News/File</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — A police corporal is facing formal complaints before the National Police Commission (Napolcom) for allegedly molesting an eight-year-old girl in Taguig City.</p><p>Armed with CCTV footage and other pieces of evidence, the mother of the victim, identified only as &quot;Andrea&quot;, went to the Napolcom office alongside the child&#x27;s grandfather and a neighbor to file a complaint against the officer.</p><p>Images from the CCTV showed that on June 21 at around 1:00 p.m., the shirtless policeman walking on a street inside a subdivision. He then stopped a young girl, identified only as &quot;Hope&quot;, not her real name, who had been sent to a nearby store.</p><p>The video captured the policeman holding the Hope&#x27;s face and leaning towards her face.</p><p>While the CCTV lacked audio, a concerned citizen reportedly overheard the lewd remarks made by the police corporal and informed the victim&#x27;s grandfather, who then relayed the incident to the mother on June 23.</p><p>Andrea shared that the officer had only been their neighbor for about seven months. She recounted what her daughter told her regarding the incident.</p><p>“Yung bata hindi nagsisinungaling yan, hindi ko tinuruan si Hope na magsinungaling. So ang sabi lang ng anak ko is ang binulong daw ng pulis sa kanya: &#x27;alam mo mas maganda ka pa sa misis ko, puwede bang pa-kiss&#x27;” Andrea said.</p><p>“Andito po ako ngayon para tumestigo para sa anak kong si Hope. Nung nalaman ko yun, bilang isang nanay sobrang halo-halong emotion yung naramdaman ko. Kasi hindi deserve ng anak ko iyon. Hindi ko alam na may isang, o may mga pulis pa palang ganun na hindi mo lubos maisip na gagawin iyon,” she added.</p><p>Aside from criminal charges for violations of the Safe Spaces Act and Child Abuse already filed with the prosecutor&#x27;s office, the officer faces administrative charges, including grave misconduct and conduct unbecoming of a police officer.</p><p>The accused policeman has already been relieved from his post, disarmed, and placed under the Station Administrative Holding Section of the Taguig City Police.</p><p>ABS-CBN News is currently trying to obtain a statement from the accused police officer as the investigation continues.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><strong><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/9oCzXvYtBEg?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong><br/></div>
