Ang mga naapektuhan na region ay Regions 9, 11, 12 at BARMM. Pero naramdaman din sa ibang regions ng Mindanao at dito sa Visayas,” Cabreos said in a recorded statement.</p><p>Initial reports indicate damage to infrastructure, including collapsed structures and bridges in multiple regions, though authorities said verification is still ongoing.</p><p>Cabreros said government agencies are now mobilizing a coordinated response.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2026/6/8/doe-ngcp-assessing-damage-to-energy-infra-from-mindanao-quake-1010">DOE, NGCP assessing damage to energy infra from Mindanao quake</a></div><p>According to Cabreros, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has been placed under Full Red Alert, along with regional and local disaster response offices.</p><p>Authorities have also activated an inter-agency coordination mechanism to streamline response efforts across government agencies.</p><p>“Na-establish po natin ngayon ang National Inter-Agency Coordinating Cell (NIACC) para po sa mga response na gagawin natin,” he said.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2026/6/8/tsunami-warning-issued-following-m7-0-quake-in-gensan-0820">Mindanao quake kills three, triggers tsunami warnings</a></div><p>Cabreos urged the public to remain vigilant due to ongoing aftershocks and possible tsunami threats.</p><p>“Paalala sa ating mga kababayan na maging alerto lagi, lalung lalo na nakakaranas pa tayo ng aftershocks at umiwas din po sa mga high rise buildings at pakinggan din po ang mga abiso o warning ng agencies, lalo na tungkol sa tsunami na maaaring maranasan ng ating mga kababayan,” he said.</p><p>Authorities continue to conduct rapid assessment and validation of casualties and damage as emergency teams are deployed to affected areas across Mindanao.</p><p>The Philippine National Police (PNP) meanwhile placed its units in Mindanao on heightened alert as authorities respond to the aftermath of the quake. </p><p>PNP chief PGen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said police units were closely coordinating with disaster response agencies and local government units as search, rescue, and relief operations continue in affected areas.</p><p>“The safety and security of residents in affected areas remain the PNP’s top priority,” Nartatez said in a statement. </p><p> “The PNP urges all residents to follow evacuation instructions, move to higher ground, and prioritize personal safety.
