Rodante Marcoleta was transferred to the Quezon City Jail–Male Dormitory in Payatas at 10:49 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, the Department of the Interior and Local Government said.It added that the senator, who was initially admitted to the hospital for hypertension and mild pneumonia, will not be accorded special treatment.Doctors have since declared Marcoleta fit to stand trial.Marcoleta is facing a non-bailable charge of plunder before the Sandiganbayan because of undisclosed donations in his Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth.<div> </div><div>BJMP:  QC JAIL MALE DORM HAS FACILITIES FOR PDLS&#x27; MEDICAL NEEDS </div>The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology also said separately that it treats all Persons Deprived of Liberty equally.Speaking on state television&#x27;s &quot;Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon&quot;, BJMP Spokesperson Jayrex Bustinera added the male dormitory is a modern facility that meets international standards. &quot;Ibig sabihin rin ho ang disenyo ho niyanf are on dut ay may nakaakibat na para sa medical and health needs ng ating mga persons deprived of liberty,&quot; Bustinera said.(That means its design takes into account the medical and health needs of PDLs.)He said medical staff are on duty 24/7 and the facility has an infirmary and a ward for PDL&#x27;s needs.Marcoleta was brought to the male dormitory at 10:49am on Wednesday after a week of hospital arrest at the PNP General Hospital.The Quezon City Jail houses 3,300 PDLs detained with the &quot;general population.&quot;Cells inside the dormitory are around 50 square meters each with 10 PDLs each in five double deck beds.Each cell has two electric fans and two comfort rooms.Vulnerable PDLs with illnesses are detained in cells near their infirmary.&quot;[G]usto rin natin na maayos at makatao ang pamamahala sa kanila.
